6/2/18 – This is an original WW2 production US M3 fighting knife made by Case. The blade is maker stamped, which tells us this was early 1944 production. Later in 1944 the US knife producers started putting the maker stamps on the hand guard. This blade comes with a 1943 dated leather M6 scabbard made by Viner Bros. The scabbard is in excellent condition with all original leather and stitching. The blade is steel with no finish and some light surface scratching (mostly from the scabbard). The handle is dark brown leather that looks like it has been used and held often. The pommel is unmarked and has some light wear. Guaranteed original.
