6/27/23 – This is an original US M1907 leather rifle sling. These were used during WW1 and up until the early years of WW2. This example is in great overall condition with all original leather intact and brass fixtures. The leather has some mild surface cracking and wrinkling from previous use and aging. One of the leather retaining loops is stamped with what looks like a faint and crude “57”. There’s also a very faint, illegible oval shaped maker marking of some kind, as shown in photos. The sling is suitable for most US Rifles such as the M1903, M1917, or M1 Garand.
