7/15/24 – This is an original, uncut (16 inch blade) M1 Garand bayonet from WW2. The bayonet blade is maker stamped “O L” by Oneida Limited, which is one of the more desirable manufacturers, having only made around 250,000 bayonets during the war. The ricasso is also stamped with a US Ordnance stamp and early 1942 date stamp. The blade has natural surface wear and finish loss throughout; there’s speckling oxidation and mild surface scratches from use and scabbard rub wear. The edge is fairly clean with some mild wear but no major damage or issues. The cross guard, hilt, and pommel have natural browning patina throughout but no rust or pitting. Great condition black grip panels that show light handling wear. Comes with an original scabbard in great overall condition.
