6/30/23 – This is an ultra rare and complete Astra Model 400 Tri-Cal Kit, one of only 200 produced! The Astra 4000 was the final variant of the company’s long line of tubular barreled handguns that began with the Model 1921. Introduced in 1956, the Model 4000 featured an external manually cocked hammer instead of the internal hammer used on its predecessors. There was a limited run of tri-caliber kits (approximately 200), and this set is one of them. It features three barrels (chambered for .32 ACP, .380 ACP and .22 LR), two slides (one accommodates the .22 LR barrel specifically) and three magazines, one for each caliber. The bore is minty on all three barrels, and both slides are in beautiful condition. The pistol has a wonderful profile view in general, with nearly all of the finish loss on the grip straps. All matching numbers throughout, including the original box. A previous owner did cover portions of the box in tape, but the serial is still visible. Listing also includes the original plastic sleeve and a manual. Pistol is dated (C1) to 1957.
