8/10/21 – This is a Japanese Type 30 bayonet with scabbard and leather frog. The bayonet was made by Kokuza Arsenal. The pommel markings are series 34 and serial numbered 97992, which places estimated production around 1940. THe blade is fairly clean and in great overall condition. There’s some very light spotty oxidation on either side, as shown. The wood handles are in great shape with no significant cracks or chips. There’s a light brown patina throughout the scabbard but no major dents. The leather frog is in great condition with no markings or stamps.
