12/15/22 – This is an original 1st variation, or type 1 snail drum luger magazine from WW1. The magazine is maker stamped by Bing and numbered 4163 on the top and bottom plate of the drum. The finish throughout the exterior is thinning and shows honest wear with dark patina and areas of finish loss. This is all surface wear however, and there’s no deep rust or pitting. The spring is strong and functional. The tube is Imperial proof stamped near the feed ramp. All original and authentic.
