5/14/20 – This is a terrific example of a completely original Arisaka Type 99, as made in the 1940s at the Tokyo Arsenal. It even has the original monopod intact, which was very commonly removed on these. All matching numbers include the receiver, bolt, safety, firing pin and bayonet lug. Only thing missing is the dust cover. Excellent finish with minimal bluing loss. Stock has many dings and nicks but that’s to be expected, and also a couple of Kanji proofs on the underside. Minty bore. Original cleaning rod is also present.
