5/19/21 – This is an excellent example of a dual-tone Mauser P.38 from late 1944. What makes this pistol particularly interesting, is that it was likely manufactured on the same day as the concurrent ‘sister listing’ we’ve just posted of this gun’s near-twin. Their serials are only off by 23 digits and in the same letter block, so this pair has found its way back to each other despite the 75 years that could’ve come between them. While the pistols are listed separately, it would be a real shame to break them apart. The profile view on this pistol is terrific, but there is some thinning and minor discoloration on the front strap. Minty bore and excellent grips. Mauser magazine. Good mechanics, including de-cocker.
