4/15/21 – This is a FN Browning High Power Rig with a pistol made in late 1942 or early 1943. Features the Tangent rear sight and an unslotted backstrap. The finish is original, but there is significant finish loss as shown. Most of the wear is honest use and aging, and there isn’t any rust or pitting. The front and back grip straps have the most wear. There’s also slide and muzzle wear as shown. The pistol comes with two period correct magazines, though only one is WaA140 proof stamped. The holster is maker stamped “GECO” just under the closure knob on the lid (faint stamp). So likely a post-war holster, and we’re not sure when this was paired with the gun. Mechanically sound with an excellent bore.
