3/10/23 – This is a nice example of a Syrian Mauser M48 Rifle, manufactured in the 1950’s. This one is all matching, including the wood stock, but has an import mark on the barrel. Proper Syrian crest on the receiver. It has retained roughly half of its finish. There is noticeable thinning along the barrel and on the receiver, but the majority of the finish loss is on the barrel bands. Areas of spotty oxidation and pin-pricking along the barrel. Heavy brown patina on the floor plate / trigger group. No major damage to the stock, but there are dings and scratches throughout. Shiny bore with strong rifling and just some very minor fouling in the grooves.
