11/15/22 – This is an original Swiss Pioneer M1914 Sawback Bayonet. The bayonet blade is maker stamped by Waffenfabrik Neuhausen on one side of the ricasso. The blade edge measures about 45cm or 17.75 inches. Overall length is about 60.5 cm or 23.75 inches. The blade has minimal discoloration and normal scabbard wear. There’s some dark speckling throughout but no major issues. The hand guard has some dark patina and mild rust on the underside, but is serial numbered and Swiss proof stamped. The wood handle has no cracks or chips. The pommel has typical surface patina and aging. Comes with an excellent scabbard that’s “P” stamped as shown. The scabbard has no dents or issues and excellent finish throughout.
