03/04/2024 – For sale is a nice Swedish Mauser Model 1896 made at the Carl Gustafs Arsenal in 1899. These rifles are a modified variant of the Mauser Model 1893 and some consider as the best Mauser variant with its flat shooting 6.5×55 cartridge. This rifle is clean and is in 90% condition. There is no major finish loss or damage of note. The rifle is mismatched throughout. The bore is clean but is heavily frosted throughout to where it’s getting darker with light. The muzzle has been threaded for a blankfire device. The cleaning rod is missing. The rifle comes with a correct M96 bayonet.
