3/24/22 – This is an ultra rare Walther PP from 1935 with Czech lion marking on the trigger guard. There’s some debate over the marking but it appears most likely that these were applied when imported as part of a small contract order into Czechoslovakia prior to the Nazis taking over the country. Whittington’s rarity charts estimate only 100 produced, with only 5 known serial numbers. It has matching numbers with excellent bluing overall. Most of the finish loss is on the back strap, but there is some oxidation and freckling on both sides of the slide. Excellent bore and grips. Proper banner only mag.
