6/8/18 – This is a fantastic example of a Bergmann No. 2, the smaller brother of the No. 3 model, and one of the earliest semi-autos made – few years before Mauser C96 and the Luger pistols were developed. Unfortunately, Bergmann guns were not a commercial success, and as a result very few were made in a couple of different calibers. This gun retains nearly all of its beautiful “rust blue”, with some light patination on the grip straps and sharp edges. Strong straw is still present on the small parts. Good bore and excellent grips. Sharp proofmarks throughout. A stunning example of a scarce antique semi-auto.
