8/16/23 – This is an original WW2 German MP44 / STG44 Assault Rifle parts kit. The kit comes complete with a cut receiver that comes from a typical late-war production example with some rough machined areas and black painted finish. The underside of the receiver is maker stamped “swj” for Steyr, and serial numbered 8752h. The lower receiver / trigger assembly is matching numbered on the rear tang “8752”. The internals are all intact, original, and functional. The lower hand guard is maker stamped “aqr” and has light surface pitting throughout. The receiver and barrel assembly has high edge wear and surface patina throughout. Overall we’d rate the finish around 75%. The barrel has an excellent bore that we rate 9/10 overall with strong rifling and shiny finish. There’s a few small areas of surface wear within the grooves but this is very minor. The operating rod has a light phosphate finish and is “qlv” maker stamped with waffen 280 codes. The stock has some surface patina and beginning signs of rust on the metal attaching end, but the wood is in great condition with no cracks or chips. The firing pin housing / bolt is Sauer made, “ce” with eagle/37 proofs. The main spring / recoil spring is strong and in great shape. Original wood grips are excellent. No magazine included.
