8/25/23 – This is an excellent example of a Steyr Hahn Model 1912 issued to the Austria-Hungarian military during WW1, in 1919. The gun is all matching, is dated 1919, and has the proper Austrian military acceptance proof on the right side of the trigger guard. There is no “08” on the left side of the slide, indicating that it was not converted to 9mm and is therefore still chambered in 9mm Steyr. This particular gun has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. There are areas of minor thinning on the left side of the slide, on the front strap, and on the right side of the frame. General high edge wear. There is also some brown patina on the grip straps and areas of light spotty oxidation and pin-pricking throughout – most noticeable on the slide. Fitted with nice period-correct wood grips. Excellent, shiny bore.
