6/8/23 – This is a nice example of a Steyr Hahn Model 1912 that was manufactured in 1919 and was converted by Mauser for use by the Nazi police force during WW2. The gun comes with an excellent, ultra rare holster and two stripper clips, one of which is loaded with 9mm Steyr ammo. The holster is worth as much or more than the pistol on its own. It is all matching and has the proper police “Eagle L” proof and a WW2-era “Eagle N” proof. The “08” on the left side of the slide indicates the gun was converted to 9mm Luger. The “36” on the right side of the trigger guard represents the year it was sent to the Nazi police force, 1936. The gun has retained roughly 70% of its original bluing. Generally, there is thinning on the straps and minor wear on the high edges. There is also spotty discoloration on the top and right side of the slide. Spotty oxidation here and there. There is some minor pitting on the right side of the slide. Excellent grips. The bore is mint.
