6/2/23 – This is a very nice example of a Standard Products M1 Carbine issued to the US military in 1943. There is an “AAA” marking on the left side of the stock, indicating it was reworked and refurbished at an arsenal. Import mark on the underside of the barrel. Underwood barrel dated January of 1943. The stock is “IO” marked and was made by Inland. There is a “771” number on the right side of the butt stock, which is most likely a rack number. The gun comes with a reproduction magazine, canvas sling, and an original oiler. While at the arsenal, a bayonet lug and adjustable rear sight were added. There is not much actual finish loss on the metal parts, but there is some minor thinning and spotty discoloration along the barrel. Minty wood stock with just a few small dings. The bore has good rifling, but there is very light pin-pricking throughout.
