10/11/22 – This is a very nice example of a Standard Products M1 Carbine issued to the US military in 1943. Underwood barrel dated November of 1943. The receiver is has a double stamped serial number, evidence that this gun was reworked at an arsenal. It has a bayonet lug and an adjustable rear sight, likely added when the gun was at an arsenal. May have been used in Korean War. The stock is “W” marked in the sling well but has a “U” proof and a cross-cannon cartouche. Comes with a proper magazine and a post-war green canvas sling. The gun is in very nice condition overall. There is very little actual finish loss, but there is some light spotty oxidation on the bayonet lug. Excellent stock with only minor dings and bruises here and there. Stone-mint bore.
