7/9/24 – This is a 1939 production SS NCO Belt Buckle. The buckle is silvered aluminum with traces of the silvered finish lightly visible on the front of the buckle, mostly near the depressed portions of the buckle below the eagle’s wings and around the outer wreath / inscription. The buckle has great detail and shows typical surface age and natural patina without any excessive wear or damage. Rub wear found on the inner wreath, eagle’s talons, and eagle’s breast. One edge of the buckle is bent and dinged, as shown. Despite this wear and mild damage, the interior maker stamp is still visible. Marked, “RZM 155/39 SS” by Assmann. Significantly more of the original silvered finish is visible on the interior of the buckle. Price reduced based on condition.
