9/5/23 – This is an original WW2 German SS Officer’s dagger. The dagger comes with an original scabbard and leather belt hanger, as shown. This is a later 1930’s production variation. The blade is in great condition with some very light speckling surface discoloration, and light scabbard rub wear and surface scratches throughout. Excellent visible cross graining throughout and nice, crisp inscription marking. The reverse of the dagger is RZM stamped with a make code underneath for Pumawerk. The cross guards are later variation nickel plated with some flaking and surface patina throughout. This is more significant on the upper cross guard / pommel area. The wood handle is original but has significant chips in the base and pommel areas. Most notably, there’s a significant chip on the back-side near the pommel. The scabbard is black painted (again later variation) with some mild surface wear but no major issues and no dents. The hanger has mild surface wear but is completely intact and an RZM maker stamped clip.
