03/06/2024 – For sale is a Model 1884 Trapdoor rifle made at the Springfield Arsenal in 1890. The rifle is clean and free of any major blemishes. The metal finish is fairly worn and much of the original bluing is replaced with patina. The area around the muzzle is worn to bare metal. The stock is clean with a small chip missing above the stock cartouche on the left side. The bore is clean and bright but there is buildup around the last 5 inches from the muzzle.
