3/18/24 – This is a Springfield Model 1911 issued to the US military during WWI. It has all of the proper markings and has a Springfield barrel. It comes with a 1918-dated canvas magazine pouch, one period-correct two-tone magazine, and two later magazines. The entire gun has been refinished. There is virtually no bluing loss, but there are areas of pitting under the finish throughout. Fitted with fairly worn period-correct wood grips – obvious crack on the right side. The condition of the bore is poor – there is virtually no rifling left with obvious pitting throughout.
