05/07/2024 – For sale is a Springfield Model 1812 Musket produced in 1816. The rifle looks great for its age, is structurally sound and functions properly. The barrel is worn to bare metal with spots of freckling throughout. The wood stock is in great condition and free of any cracks or breaks. The bore is dark and there is some corrosion noticeable about 8 inches from the muzzle. The lock plate is marked Springfield with the US eagle and 1816.
