10/7/20 – This is a gorgeous Springfield Armory M1 Garand from 1942 with original bayonet and scabbard. The original finish rates at about 97% with most of the finish loss on the top of the bolt. Otherwise excellent finish on the receiver, trigger group and barrel. Fantastic stock with less commonly seen E. McF. inspectors mark, as well as crossed cannons cartouche. Original Boyt leather sling that is 1942 dated. The bayonet is uncut and made by Utica Cutlery. Buttstock has grease pot and disassembly tool inside. Excellent bore, with muzzle reading of 1.5 and throat of 1.
