3/27/20 – This is a Springfield M1903 that comes out of the Civilian Marksmanship Program. Serial dates to 1918 for receiver, and barrel is dated to November of 1942. Receiver serial is right at the tail end of the range for those receivers that received double heat treatment. Original finish is in very good condition, with majority of thinning on the bands and muzzle. Stock has a faint P in circle on wrist, and what may be a rack number on right side of stock. Bolt has etched serial that doesn’t match receiver number. Stock in excellent shape aside from some basic dings/nicks. Minty bore.
