9/1/22 – This is an original WW1 era US Bolo knife. The blade is in excellent condition with some mild surface oxidation but no rust or pitting, and generally clean throughout. No signs of sharpening. One side of the blade is serial numbered and US stamped, while the other side is 1912 dated with a flaming bomb ordnance stamp and “SA” maker stamp. The hand guard has some mild surface patina. The wood handle is excellent with no cracks or chips. Comes with an original leather scabbard that’s Rock Island Arsenal maker stamped and 1914 dated. Nice leather with the original metal hanger still intact and in great shape.
