4/4/24 – This is an excellent example of a Springfield Model 1896 Krag Carbine from 1897. The receiver is “US” property marked. The stock has a “P” and a faint military cartouche on the left side. The finish on the metal parts is excellent with just minor high edge wear. Minty wood stock. The bore has good rifling, but there is minor pin-pricking throughout.
