4/5/23 – This is an excellent example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in September of 1944. It is all matching and has the proper “Eagle 88” military acceptance proofs. Comes as a rig with a nice 1944-dated holster and a “Waffen 135” marked Mauser magazine. The holster has the initials “EHB” scratched onto the back. The gun itself has retained about 93% of its finish. There is thinning on the front strap and minor wear around the muzzle and the high edges of the slide. The trigger has a slight straw-colored discoloration. Fitted with blackish-brown bakelite grips – hairline crack on the left side and a tiny letter “P” scratched onto the right side. The bore has good rifling with pin-pricking throughout. De-cocker is functional.
