3/24/22 – This is a nice example of a Spanish Eibar / Ruby pistol issued to the French military in the early 1900’s. The gun is all matching and has “GN” and “P” proofs on the slide and frame. It has the proper “French Star” proofs on the base of the frame. It comes with a numbered magazine marked “HE” that does not match the gun. While there isn’t much actual finish loss, there is brown patina covering the whole gun. The wear is concentrated around the high edges and around the muzzle. Some more noticeable dark spots of oxidation along the top of the slide. Comes with period-correct grips – some of the checkering is chipped and bruised. The bore has good rifling but there is minor frosting throughout.
