8/7/23 – This is an excellent example of a Walther P1 manufactured in April of 1979. It is all matching and has the proper West German proofs throughout. There is also a “BW” marking on the left side of the trigger guard, indicating this was issued to the Bundeswehr or West German military. This one is particularly interesting, because the barrel has been cut down, giving the gun a “sub-nose” configuration. This work was done professionally. The gun has retained nearly all of its finish with just a few very light surface scuffs here and there and some tiny dots of surface rust on the barrel. Fitted with excellent black plastic grips and comes with a 1961-dated P.38 magazine. Mint bore. De-cocker is functional.
