8/19/22 – This is an original WW1 production Imperial Snail Drum Luger magazine. The magazine is in great overall condition with most of the original blued finish intact. There’s dark surface patina and some mild finish loss / aging throughout the exterior, but this is typical and not excessive wear. No rust or pitting. The magazine is maker stamped by AEG, and the top and bottom plates are matching serial numbered. Interestingly, the winding lever has been export stamped “GERMANY”. There’s also an imperial proof stamp on near the mouth of the magazine, so this was likely exported after WW1. Fully functional spring.
