11/8/22 – This is a nice example of a Smith and Wesson Victory Revolver issued to the US Navy during WW2. It is all matching and has the proper “US Navy” marking on the top strap. The gun has retained about 90% of its original parkerized finish. There isn’t a ton of actual finish loss, but there are areas of noticeable splotchy discoloration on the left side of the frame, on the top strap, and on the cylinder. Areas of very light spotty oxidation and pin-pricking here and there, most noticeable on the cylinder. Very nice case-hardening on the hammer and trigger. Comes with excellent wood grips – the right panel is numbered and matching. Excellent bore with strong rifling. The cylinder is tight, and the action is smooth.
