10/4/22 – This is an excellent example of a Smith & Wesson Victory Revolver issued to the US military during WW2. It is all matching and has the proper flaming bomb, “US Property”, and the correct “GHD” military inspection initials. It comes as a rig with a rare 1943-dated US Navy marked shoulder holster, 6 dummy cartridges, and one box of modern .38 Special ammo. Some of the ammo loops on the belt have been repaired with glue. The gun itself has retained about 96% of its original parkerized finish. Very minor wear around the muzzle and some of the high edges. Minor thinning on the cylinder. While there isn’t a lot of actual finish loss, there is brown patina on the back strap and areas of spotty oxidation on the front strap and both sides of the frame. Some light scuffs on both sides of the frame as well. Very nice case-hardening on the hammer and trigger. Comes with nice wood grips – the right panel is numbered and matching. Mint bore.
