10/11/22 – This is an excellent Smith and Wesson Pre-Victory Revolver that was part of the British Lend Lease Program with the US during WW2. The gun is all correct, matching, and has the proper “US Property” marking on the top strap and a flaming bomb and “WB” proof on the butt of the frame. British proofs throughout. The gun has retained about 96-97% of its original bluing. There is not much actual finish loss, but there are tiny handling marks and scratches on most of the gun. Light roll mark on the cylinder. The case-hardening on the small parts is mostly worn. Lanyard loop intact. Comes with proper wood grips – the right panel is numbered and matching (correct). There is noticeable bruising on both panels. The bore is mint. The cylinder is tight, and the action is smooth.
