3/31/22 – This is an all matching Smith & Wesson Model 1917 revolver that was issued to the U.S. Army in 1918. Matching numbers on frame, barrel and cylinder. Flaming bomb proof on frame, with Eagle/S6 marking above trigger guard. The finish is an old restoration that now shows some patina and wear along the barrel. Bore has strong rifling but a little frost and freckling in the grooves. Excellent grips with no chips or cracks. Smooth mechanics.
