8/31/22 – This is a nice example of a Smith and Wesson Model 10-5 Revolver manufactured in the 1960’s. It is all matching and has an “MPDC” marking on the back strap, indicating it was issued to the Metropolitan Police Department of Washington DC. It has retained roughly 85% of its bluing. There is thinning on the back strap and spotty wear throughout, most noticeable on the barrel and on the cylinder. Nice case-hardening on the hammer and trigger. Comes with a nice set of black rubber Pachmayr grips. Excellent bore – shiny with strong rifling. The cylinder is tight, and the action is smooth.
