3/15/22 – This is an excellent example of a Smith-Corona Model 03-A3 rifle issued to the US military in 1943. The barrel is Remington-marked and dated February of 1944. There is a faint “RIA EB” marking on the left side of the butt stock, indicating this gun was reworked at the Rock Island Arsenal. The bolt is marked Remington and electro-numbered to match the receiver. Front barrel band is also marked Remington. It appears there may have been some numbering on the right side of the butt stock that was sanded. There is very little actual finish loss. There is some wear on the butt plate and some very light scratches and scuffs on the other metal parts here and there. The stock is very nice with only minor dings and bruises here and there, especially around the hand guard. The bore is mint. Comes with a front sight hood.
