10/28/24 – For sale is a Sharps Model 1859 saddle ring carbine that was converted to .50-70 centerfire cartridge. The metal on the carbine is well-aged with patina throughout the entire gun, most notably on the barrel. The forestock and stock are heavily worn and other are many cracks on both sides of the stock. There is also a chip on the left side of the stock next to the upper tang. There is a repair on the toe of the stock. The bore is bright and excellent for its age and has great rifling. The action locks up nicely with a crisp trigger break.
