12/1/23 – This is a scarce Wise Lite Arms DP-28 – a copy of the Soviet Degtyaryov Infantry Machine Gun, produced with a combination of military surplus components and new made parts from Wise Lite, including a semi-automatic only closed bolt receiver. The Degtyaryov and its variants were widely used as infantry support and vehicle mounted weapons by both Russia and the Finns during the Continuation War, as well as being used by the Chinese in the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Korean War. The original receiver has a 1953 date and circle 11 proof to indicate it was made at the Polish Radom factory. Adjustable pin front and tangent rear sights, the signature pan magazine, with rotating top cover. Fitted with a ventilated heat shield, a swiveling steel bipod, grip safety immediately behind the trigger guard and a smooth semi-pistol grip stock with a sling swivel. Comes with standard 47 round pan pattern DP 28 Magazine. Excellent blued finish with no notable wear, and a strong, shiny bore.
