11/8/19 – This is a rare and interesting Walther PP that was manufactured in 1975. It has a ‘suncorite’ finish, which was a precursor to Teflon, and tends to pool heavier on the left side of the pistols in the short production run they did. An estimated 3,000 were produced and issued to the English forces serving in Northern Ireland. The left side of the frame is marked for the West German Army/Air Force, so gun was likely later re-purposed for the English. More info can be found on the Walther forums. The gun shows minimal finish wear, but it’s a generally rough finish. Pistol has all matching numbers and is chambered for .22LR. It comes with a mismatched box, a total of two finger extension magazines, and cleaning rod. Also interesting, but the grips are World War II era originals.
