5/9/24 – This is a scarce DWM “sneak” Luger from the Weimar period. These are typically termed Sneak Lugers based on the lack of any identifying manufactures markings or date, which the Nazis did to disguise their early rearmament efforts. This one ended up with the police. It has a blank toggle and no chamber date. All numbered parts are matching. Weimar-era proofs on the right side of the slide. There is a police sear safety and a cut for a magazine safety. “L.E. 58.” unit marking on the front strap. It comes as a rig with a matching-numbered police magazine, matching tool, and a matching unit-numbered 1929-dated police holster. The holster has some repaired stitching on the top flap and belt loops. The bluing rates about 94-95% with minor wear around the muzzle, on the side plate, and on the front edges of the side rails. Fitted with un-numbered wood grips. Excellent bore.
