4/11/23 – This is a scarce Springfield Armory M2 rifle. The ‘M2’ designation with no ‘1922’ roll mark started in 1933, and this one has a parkerized finish with a barrel date of July of 1937. These were made to mimic the 1903 rifle for training purposes, and chambered in .22LR. The parkerized finish is excellent overall, with minor patina in general and some oxidation on the barrel. Stock is in good condition, and also marked ‘M2’ on the underside. Just has a few dings and nicks. Excellent bore. Bolt is marked ‘NS’ over ‘M2’, and the bolt body is also marked ‘M2’. Comes with a canvas sling.
