12/16/22 – This is an original example of a scarce, second variation Remington Rand 1911A1 from 1943. It has the proper 2nd variation slide with larger legend, and is in the correct serial range. It has about 80-85% of the original Dulite finish, but is somewhat difficult to rate. A portion of the slide and frame have slight discoloration, but there is also some thinng at the rear of slide and frame. Correct HS barrel with minty bore. The original grips are in good condition aside from a small hole in the right panel. Risdon mag. Comes with an original US 1911 holster, though the backing was likely replaced at some point. NOTE: This gun needs a more thorough cleaning as a previous owner left lots of grease inside.
