7/27/22 – This is an excellent example of a scarce, complete Police Mauser Banner Luger rig from 1942. It’s one of about 12,000 produced with Eagle/L acceptance proof from 1939-42, and one of about 5500 produced in 1942 with that marking. All matching numbers throughout, including the grips and both magazines! It has 97-98% of the original blue remaining with just a little holster wear on the muzzle, sideplate and right side rail. Excellent bore with just a little frost in the grooves. Grips have minor handling wear but no cracks or chips. The rig includes a tool that’s marked “Katr.J.11.”, which may be a police marking but we couldn’t verify the meaning. It’s completed by a terrific 1941 police holster, which is embellished on the top flap.
