8/25/20 – This is a nice, honest example of a Star Model B rig with Nazi proof on the right side tang. It is all original and correct with about 85% high-polish blue remaining. There is some high edge wear on the front and rear of each side of the slide, as well as the grip frame. The firm of Star Bonifacio Echeverria SA, located in Eibar, Spain, originated in 1905 but the factory was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). It was rebuilt adjacent to the original site, and during WW2 it supplied about 25,000 pistols to the German Army in France. There are two serial ranges for these contracts, with this pistol falling correctly into the second batch and given an E/WaAD20 acceptance stamp. The grips and magazines are all original and in very good to excellent condition. One magazine is numbered to a different pistol on the toe. The unmarked holster is in great condition with no notable flaws. Excellent bore.
