6/9/21 – This is a rare Spanish Model 1893 Mauser rifle from 1896 that was issued to the Spanish Navy. The stock has a cartouche with Spanish crown and crests over the 1896 manufacture date and ‘Ma’ marking, which indicates it went to the Navy (Marina). This example is in very good condition and all original. All matching numbers, including the bolt, trigger group, receiver, rear sight and even the original, matching cleaning rod. Blued parts show minor finish loss, mostly on the receiver, and some oxidation on the barrel. Excellent stock with only a few minor dings and chips. Original sling. Bore has strong rifling but is heavily frosted.
