7/15/22 – This is a rare and original Kongsberg Model 1914 from 1929. It’s one of only ~1300 produced that year, and it’s all matching numbers throughout. Many of these pistols were shipped to Army Arsenals and then sent to a regiment around World War II. This one has about 94-95% of the original finish remaining, with minor thinning on the front strap, some finish loss on the mainspring housing and a little more on the right side of the slide. All numbered parts are matching, including the barrel. The slide stop and bushing are unnumbered though, so may have been replaced. The magazine is a WW2-era unmarked example. Original wood grips with only minor handling wear. The bore has strong rifling but there is some pitting in the grooves.
