7/18/23 – This is a scarce Enfield SMLE III that was made in 1916 and then later arsenal rebuilt for WWII. Matching numbers on receiver, bolt and stock. Receiver is dated to 1916, and the top of the receiver shows the South African proof. Magazine cutoff is intact. The rifle shows some thinning and patina on the receiver, trigger guard and front band. Bore has strong rifling but mild frost throughout. Stock is in terrific condition with minimal handling wear. Comes with canvas sling.
