6/14/23 – This is a scarce DWM military “sneak” Luger from the Weimar period. These are typically termed Sneak Lugers based on the lack of any identifying manufactures markings and proof marks, which the Nazis did to disguise their early rearmament efforts. This one does have a DWM toggle but has no chamber date. All numbered parts are matching. Weimar-era proof on the right side of the slide. There is a police sear safety, police magazine safety, and an “L.Hi.10.5” unit marking on the front strap. “Crown N” proofs on the slide and barrel, indicating this gun ended up in the commercial market at some point. The gun has been arsenal refurbished and has retained about 98% of its bluing. Hints of wear on some of the high edges, some minor discoloration on the side plate, and some minor dulling on the back strap. Fitted with minty matching-numbered wood grips. Comes with a matching Nazi-era police arsenal-numbered magazine. The rifling in the bore is slightly worn with minor pin-pricking throughout. The hold-open does not work properly with this magazine.
